This multi-pager presents the key findings of the Third Interim Evaluation (3IE) of the Mitigation Action Facility alongside the TSU’s Management Response. The 3IE, conducted by independent experts, reviews our performance from 2020–2024 and provides strategic guidance across three core areas:
- Strategic relevance and global alignment
- Project effectiveness and transformational impact
- Agile governance and efficient delivery
The evaluation confirms strong alignment with national climate goals, the growing visibility of the Mitigation Action Facility following its rebranding, and the added value of its integrated financial and technical support. It also recognises progress on gender equality, social inclusion, and learning, as well as the Mitigation Action Facility’s adaptive structures in response to global challenges.
At the same time, the 3IE highlights areas for improvement, including the accessibility of project results, systematic risk identification, and clearer communication of expectations throughout the application process.
The Management Response outlines time-bound actions to address these recommendations. Together, the evaluation and response reaffirm the our commitment to continuous learning, transparency, and delivering transformational change.
