This is the End-of-project report of the project “Colombian NAMA for the Domestic Refrigeration Sector”, formerly known as the “NAMA Support Project (NSP) for the Domestic Refrigeration Sector”. The project was commissioned to GIZ in 2017 and implemented between January 2019 and June 2024, in close coordination with the Ozone Technical Unit (UTO) of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia (MinAmbiente), as well as with support from the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the Climate Change and Risk Management Directorate.
The report details the activities undertaken by the project team and key public and private stakeholders to meet all project indicators and deliver technical and financial assistance aimed at catalysing transformational change in Colombia’s domestic refrigeration sector. It compiles insights and data from more than five years of implementation and reflects the project’s contribution to Colombia’s climate commitments and sustainable development goals.
