The Mitigation Action Facility highlights expertise at UNFCCC Pitch Hub Session
September 8, 2025
The Mitigation Action Facility participated in a Pitch Hub Session, organised by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), sharing its expertise as part of the financial advisory panel. Our Lead for Strategic Partnerships, Rosa-Stella Mbulu, represented the Mitigation Action Facility during the event, which took place on 6 September 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The session, part of the Sixth Global Dialogue and Investment-focused Event under the Sharm el-Sheikh Mitigation Ambition and Implementation Work Programme, brought together investors, financial institutions, and policymakers to explore practical solutions for reducing emissions in the Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Uses (AFOLU) and waste sectors.
With its representation in these high-level formats, the Mitigation Action Facility showcases the important role it plays in the global climate finance landscape.
The Mitigation Action Facility complements, rather than competes with, other climate finance institutions by filling critical gaps. Its interventions often create the enabling conditions for larger-scale investments from multilateral development banks (MDBs), DFIs, or commercial actors – bridging the gap between ambition and action.
